Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho Breaks World Record In Premier League History - Sports

Image
Kelechi Iheanacho Breaks World Record Officially Now Has The Best Goals-Per-Minute Record In Premier League History Kelechi Iheanacho has the best goals-to-minutes ratio of any player in Premier League history following his strike in Manchester City’s 3-0 win at Hull City on Boxing Day. The 19-year-old striker doubled the lead for the City, tucking away a David Silva pass to give Pep Guardiola’s men a comfortable victory. That effort means Iheanacho is now scoring a goal every 96 minutes in the Premier League – the best goal ratio for any player with 10 or more in the league’s history. In comparison, fellow City striker Sergio Aguero has scored his 112 Premier League goals at a rate of one every 107 minutes and former Arsenal ace Thierry Henry scored his 175 Premier League goals at a rate of one per 122 minutes. Iheanacho’s 12th goal for Man City came from just his 19th shot in 38 league appearances – and is all the more impressive considering the Nigerian only made his top-flight debu

Buhari Removes Ibrahim Magu As EFCC Boss - Politics

Image
The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, may have finally been removed from office. His redeployment back to Nigerian Police Force (NPF) was to pave way for a fresh person to be presented by President Muhammadu Buhari as the nominee to head the anti-graft agency before the Senate. The Guardian gathered to make the situation look like a routine exercise, some senior Police officers would be re-deployed by the Police hierarchy to resume as conventional Police officers. It was equally reliably gathered yesterday that the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has already issued a leter to Magu on the development and directed that he hands over to the Director of Operations in the Commission. Magu’s nomination was recently rejected by the Senate following allegation of graft levelled against him by the Department of State Security Service (DSS). source:nairaland forum.com

Image
Reacting to the SA businessman, Gayton McKenzie's take on love, relationships and why Nigerian men always take their women, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) national spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said the advice is offensive and demeaning to women. As previously reported by LIB, Patriotic Alliance (PA) leader, McKenzie had advised South African men to get their finances in order if they wanted to keep their women. He further urged them to look up to Nigerian men who worked hard and, ultimately, won women’s hearts. "Poems don't buy Louboutins" he addedIn a series of tweets, Ndlozi slammed the PA leader, who is an outspoken critic of EFF leader Julius Malema, saying every progressive man should find McKenzie’s argument “distasteful” as it mobilised men to view women as “idlers looking for blessers”."Why should we always see women as attained by cash? Because in essence, for such men, it represents their own inferiority and masculine injury," he said.Ndlozi says

Image
The Spiritual Head of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star Worldwide, Olumba Olumba, says the current recession in Nigeria will end soon if the Federal Government continues with its current economic recovery programme. Olumba said this on Tuesday in Calabar while briefing journalists on the activities lined up for the celebration of the “divine manifestation of its founding leader, Olumba Olumba Obu.” He blamed the current recession in Nigeria on greed and lack of love by the country’s leaders. He said, “If there is love, there will be no recession. Recession is a result of mismanagement of Nigeria’s resources by the leaders. Nigeria has abundant resources as a nation, but because the leaders lack love for one another, they squander the collective wealth of the people.   “President Muhammadu Buhari will succeed in ending recession, if he continues with his current programmes, including the fight against corruption among others.” Olumba, who spoke through the BCS spokesman, Mr. Edet Ar

Islam is a peaceful religion; we have been living peacefully with Christians and followers of other religions in this country. Therefore, we should be allowed to perform our religion effectively.” He said. The bill proposes that widows should have custody of their children, except if it is contrary to their welfare. The bill also seeks for widows to be allowed to inherit a fair share their husband's property, be allowed to live in their matrimonial home and
